I had the urge to do something and gave it some thought while at

my computer desk and decided I needed a ship's rail on my desk.

I went to the craft store and bought a few turned candle holders, two strips of balsa and two flat pieces of bass wood. ...trimmed & sanded the balsa and glued it all together......cost about $20 and took less than an hour.
